Henry G. Moran, U.S. Naval Officer, was born in West Haven, CT on May 4, 1899. He attended Yale University before enrolling in the U.S. Naval Academy, from which he graduated in 1923. He received an M.S. from Yale University in 1930. He saw action in the Pacific and Atlantic Theatres during World War II.
